I'm someone who tells it like it is. I'm a straightforward, compasionate, and understanding person. I'm openminded and don't believe in looking down upon someone else's beliefs or lifestyle because it is not similar to my own. I believe in having fun but can also enjoy an abstract, philosophical conversation. One of my favorite sayings is: "Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, and small minds discuss people". I believe in living life to the fullest - the European's believe in working to live. Americans live to work. I try to live my life as much as possible with a youthful heart - but always strive to learn as much as possible in life whether it be from the world around us or others. You can always learn something from another person, whether you agree with their beliefs or not. I think listening and good communication are important in becoming a better person.I listen to mainly alternative/underground music, however I will listen to almost anything. I'm sort of a minority in the sense I never really got into the whole hip hop craze. Sorry if I offend any fans out there! It's just a personal preference. I used to spend my 20's and part of my 30's at a club in New Brunswick, NJ called the Melody which is dear to my heart. Many of my closest friends I met there. They are some of the coolest, kindest people. It wasn't a typical bar. I know so many people that have lasting frienships, relationships and marriages that were created in this small establishment. Many of us really miss it and wish it hadn't closed down. It really was like a small family & there is a strange connection between the regulars that inhabited there. I have yet to discover a place anything like it, so I guess that's one of the main reasons I decided to join here.
