About Me

Underground dance music fanatic from London England. Started collecting records when I was a mere nipper whilst visiting charity shops with my dad. I would pick out anything I thought looked interesting and cost no more than 10p!!! Amassed an enormous collection of dance vinyl over a decade ranging from house and techno to breakbeat and hardcore. 1000s of records found in bargain basements and second hand shops all over London. Digging certainly pays.I am a bedroom DJ first and foremost and play out now and again mostly to private audiences. I have played some huge parties in London over the years, most memorably in the old Voice Newspaper building in Brixton in 2001 where I was accompanied by the one and only Mc Vice.My last gig was at a night entitled 8_bit which took place at the London club, Public Life in E1 on the 18th of February 2006. I was joined on the night by the awesome Skinny Crack Rock and the legendary Dj Sueme. Thanks to the 8_bit promotions lot for letting me play (it was a great night).I have been producing breakbeat, techno and hardcore tracks for about a decade. I started off using my humble Commodore Amiga A1200 and the Octamed program. Four tracks of eight bit audio! I wrote two unreleased albums and a bunch of other retrograde material from 1997-2001, some of which I hope to post here on MySpace Music. In 2001 I relocated to Essex where I set up a studio with Skinny Crack Rock incorporating both our studio equipment. Here we used an iMac, running Cubase VST and Logic Pro Audio which acted as a sequencer for various outboard MIDI euipment including an AKAI S3000XL stereo sampler, a Roland JV2080 synthesizer, an Oberheim MATRIX 1000 and some other vintage bits and bobs.It was here that I wrote my DotCOM releases, the Follow Her Into the Bogs EP and the elusive Turtle Neck EP along with all the Nogutskik live sets and tracks amongst other lost songs some of which will also be appearing here for a limited time. Make sure you don't miss your chance to download these tracks! The studio was dispanded in 2004 when me and Skinny Crack went our seperate ways and I departed from the music scene for two years to pursue other interests.Since then I have moved back to London and set up a small studio for myself in my bedroom (back to my roots). After a break of over two years from both djing and production I find myself very rusty. However, with the release of DotCOM nine pending I have decided to once again don my music making cap and get down to making some seriously horrible tracks!Be prepared!

Influences: I have been influenced by many people over the years in many genres spanning from dance to hip-hop. My main influence was the UK rave scene in the nineties which was a monumental milestone in the history of dance music. Labels such as Brain Records, Suburban Base, Boogie Times, Kniteforce, Impact, Reinforced, Labello Blanco and many more were coming out with the most awesome material that pushed the very boundaries of production. It was a most exciting time. The UK jungle and drum n bass scene has also influenced me massively and continues to pioneer the breakbeat sound.
Sounds Like: My tracks tend to lean toward a breakbeat or techno sound with lots of raw percussion and acid-style basslines. I like to create as much energy and intensity as possible whilst keeping the tracks relatively simple. Some of my earlier breakbeat work is a lot more diverse then my current stuff.
