Well, I am a chef and a house manager (essentially a Butler) and that is taking up all my time right now. My primary interest outside is dance, and supporting the live music that allows me to practice what I love. My passions include contra and square dancing, English Country, English Rapper and Longsword (see videos), Cotswold Morris, Zydecco and Cajun, a bit of swing, Scandinavian, some Balkan, flat footing (kinda like clogging). Lots of stuff, and lots of stuff yet to learn, too.I remember seeing an Irish step dancer when I was like 4 and being blown away by it. I wanted to dance. My parents didn't do anything about it concretely, but they did end up starting contra dancing in St. Louis and taking me to lots of folk festivals. My first time I was at Pinewoods I was probably 7. Ended up working there years later, which gave me a lifetime of friends, a career, and at the time, a wife. It was a gift.
