Oh yeah Baby--an M&M with PUNCH!

About Me

One of my good friends welcomed me to my 50s with this statement: "Now that you're fifty you no longer have to ask anyones permission to do anything." How liberating!!! I like who I am for the most part--yes we all have faults, I am no exception--and I am now allowed to dress how I feel like dressing, think what I want to think, and do what I want to do. I just wonder why I waited so long. My retirement plans have run amok, but I am living one day at a time which suits me just fine.I'm trying my hand at powerlifting this year. I know, I know--just starting at my age? I've heard a lot of crap about it so far. All the stuff like-"you're going to get muscles like a MAN"(I dont THINK so--I'm not a MAN!); "men dont like muscles on a woman"(that one made me really laugh--if they only knew!); "what-are you trying to be a MAN?"(For Gods sake NO!!!I'm missing some of the equipment for that and I am perfectly happy to be who I am); "at your age? You're going to hurt yourself"(like wrecking my Harley didnt hurt? Oh I forgot--the same person who said this one asked me if I was going to be reasonable and stop riding!); "I'll never understand women who want to look like men"(okay-I'm 5'9", and the guy who said that is 5'5" and he WORKS at the gym, he doesnt WORKOUT at any gym. I'd like to tell him I dont understand men who want to look like a pregnant woman. (okay--dont take offense guys--I like a man with meat on his bones--I would only say it to get under his skin.) Several of the powerlifters at the gym said he is just jealous because I can lift more than him and he suffers from S.P.S....Small Pe*** Syndrome.(I'm just telling you what the guys said to me--you wouldnt believe some of the things they told me to say to HIM! Not that I did. I try to be polite.) Thats just a little of what I've heard. SO I dont try to change anyones mind about it, I just mind my own business and train hard. Dont pull me down to your level by trying to make me feel bad! Let me help you lift yourself up and we will BOTH feel good!I love my art and my music and my books and my cats and my Harley. I love my friends, and I am a deeply spiritual person. I have been clean/sober(call it what you want) for 21 years, and in that time I have learned that I dont have to know a lot--I just have to have faith and put one foot in front of the other. I make a point to smile at people. It makes me feel good when someone smiles at me, so I like to pass that on. I believe in the basic goodness of people too. And if you havent noticed, I believe in GOD.
You Have a Choleric Temperament
You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.
You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.
At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior. What Temperment Are You?
