Parapsychology, occult studies, psychology, art, science, sci-fi, history, comparative religion, medicine, alternative medicine, good movies, books, writing, drawing, painting, photography. I have many more interests, just not enough time to run them down here!
I am open to meeting nearly anyone for friendship. I love to make new friends and meet new people of any age or background, but being genuine and having an open mind is a prerequisite. Just a quick note, my friends list is small. It is that way because the folks on my friends list actually are my friends, I know them either in person, or I speak or correspond with them. I do not accept friend requests just to rack up numbers. I will not add you unless I have gotten to know you. If you send me a request and it is denied, don’t take it personally, it simply means I don’t know you yet, feel free to drop me a note and introduce yourself, I am here to meet new folks!
I love all almost all genres of music, but not a really big fan of punk rock, heavy opera, gangster rap or jazz., but there are exceptions. I own nearly a thousand CD’s and hundreds of albums (Yep, good old vinyl), and thousands of MP3’s from Alabama to Zamfir, classical, country, blue-grass, trance, techno, electronic, classic rock, oldies, swing and big band, like I said nearly every category of music.
Some of my favorite movies are The Godfather (all three parts), The Shawshank Redemption, Princess Bride, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still. I am a big fan of classic horror films, and even a bigger fan of really cheesy horror films. Love Sci-Fi, Action flicks, Great Character stories, good comedies. I am a big movie fan. I own thousands of movies and have a really nice home theatre set up, but have very limited time to watch right now, sadly.
When I get the chance I watch the Discovery, History and Learning Channels, also AMC and TCM. I like Sci-Fi; Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Dresden Files, I am also a fan of the original shows on FX, The Shield, Nip-Tuck, Rescue Me. Like the CSI’s, NCIS, The Unit, I am a fan of medical dramas and the Fox News Channel but really don’t get time to watch television all much
Almost anything by Carl Sagan, Anne Rice, Stephen King, J. R. R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, Terry Brooks, Robert Heinlein, Clive Cussler, Robin Cook, Isaac Asimov. Just to name a few.
Not really a hero person, but if I was to say whom I greatly admired, it would be Dr. Carl Sagan, Dr. Stephen Hawking and Dr. R Adams Cowley (Famous trauma physician, one time head of the Baltimore Shock-Trauma Center and originator of the “golden hour†concept of trauma treatment)
