™ * '2006' * ™20 year old jazmine thom is an aspiring singer/songwriter and all around musician with her heart set on taking the music industry by storm. jazmine started singing at the tender age of 7 along with her sisters in a gospel chior in the church they attended in east london, as jazmine grew older the musical influences around her and in her family made her realise singing wasnt just to be her hobbie but her life. At the age of 13 jazmine was already attending several professional chiors including classical and gospel which included doing backing vocals for the lighthouse familys top ten hit "forever you and me". As jazmine continued to sing during her teenage years she was inspired and influenced by many different artists from the old motown ,jazz funk and soul her mother listened to,to the r & b ,garage and drum and bass her brother and sisters listend to. Through listening to such a variety of music, whilst growing up Jazmine has developed a unique taste in music and rules no genre out. By the age of 15 jazmine had written her first song entitled "all for you" Which she performed at Her sisters talent show which got A positive feedback from the crowd amazed at her writing skills. After the first taste of a good response from an audience for her work jazmine has continued to write and compose tracks ,mainley r and b/soul based but with a difference.jazmines heartlfelt and unique writing skills draw her listeners in and capture their hearts and minds simply by them being able to relate to the lyrics,not mentioning the angellic vocals to compliment them . in 2005 Jazmine went on to study a diploma in music practice,in which she also started to learn the piano ,read and write music and perform with a band,after finishing studying music practice at shock and awe studios in barnet passing with merit jazmine decided it was time to step up her progress with her music by performing at serveral open mics ,gigs and promoting her music via the internet and myspace. Currently jazmine has just finished recording several tracks that are going to be featured on a teenage movie sponsored by the princes trust coming out in 2007.she is also working with several different producers ,vocalling several different genres including hip hop ,soul,garage and funky house,whilst also preparing and recording some of the many tracks she has written over the last 5 years. This isnt were the story ends but just the very begining of a star in the making,with the will power talent and determination expect to be hearing and seeing Big things from jazmine in the near future.
