My name is Hoyt Binder. When I grow up, I want to be in a tribute band and sell tickets to my mom.....I grew up in Panama. I have a B.A. in music from Cal State Long Beach and a music degree from LAMA (La Music Academy) I am currently wasting my life writing and recording progressive rock and fusion that will be a big hit in Scandanavia.....Have 1 record done last year and will hopefully be releasing 4 more records soon.----------------------------------------------------- Here is a little info: One is a band called Primitive Overflow with Donnie Vie on vocals. Our cd will be titled: "Honor Way Down." Think progressive rock/metal meets Power Pop on broadway. Mixing and mastering will finally be done by mid 2008. Working with Donnie has been a dream come true.------------------------------------------------------ Donnie and I are also working on a 2nd record, a rock opera.... his idea that will blow your mind and is sure to be a cult classic. Our next project will be done in mid 2008 . We are recording now.....---------------------------------------------------- ---- Just released a record in 2007 with a Dutch female singer and will be titled Saskia "One Heart" The Saskia record features a progressive version of Enuff Z Nuff's "Blue Island" and guest vocals by Donnie Vie! Think melodic, progressive pop/rock with powerful,emotional singing. From writing to recording, working with Saskia has been a great experience. This cd has some of my best writing and definitely my most emotional playing. Saskia won a best new female artist and best song of 2007 award from Fireworks Magazine. We will start working on our 2nd record soon.------------------------------------------------------ Currently, I am working on Jazz/Fusion record and the band is called Nickel Slotz. It is an instrumental cd that ranges from jazz/fusion to pop/progressive. Recording is underway now..... This music will feature one of my all time favorite world class drummers, Toss Panos (Robben Ford, Larry Carlton,etc.), world class keys by Jeff Babko, the amazing Paulo Gustavo on bass, the very hip Trevor Lloyd on electric violin. This cd will be done in mid 2008.------------------------------------------------------ I am also in the prog band Lobate Scarp.
