Breathing. Saying "I love you" and hoping to God he says it back.
My husband...all over again at the 8th grade semi-formal dance where he kissed me for the first time. My husband...proposing to me where we first said the word "forever." My husband... on our wedding day when he took those vows and looked at me with love and tear-filled eyes. My husband...the first time we made love. My husband..holding our baby girl right after she was born. My husband...telling me that it would always be "us against the world". I miss that man.
This week.... Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley. Crazy Bitch - Buck Cherry, Late for the Sky - Jackson Brown.
Romeo and Juliet (Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio), The Notebook, Entrapment, When Dreams May Come, Legend. Family Man, August Rush
Not that I get to watch any of that any more. No cable. Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, 24, Dancing with the Stars, and Samantha Who. And The Apprentice. Brothers&Sisters, Desperate Housewives.
Just read a book about "The Mysterious Will of God". Think it is by Chuck Swindoll. It is helping me get through this tough time when nothing makes sense.
My husband...for teaching me about strength so many years ago. For giving me a reason to look beyond myself. For loving me despite our differences. I only wonder where he went....... And my children... for accepting the fate they have been handed and enjoying each day as it comes without feeling the constant need to look too far back or too far forward. To make every day Christmas.
