About Me

"I first visualize how I want the song primed. Normally, I will reminisce on my past endeavors, and by doing so, this helps me to come up with a rough sample track. Once I have laid the track mentally, I then create a harmonized composition to be produced into a finished song."
Driven by impulse and dedicated to perfection, D.White is hitting the industry hard and he has the lyrics to back him up. Is it the catchy hooks he puts in his songs? His distinctive voice? Or is it his charismatic attitude? Or, is it a combination of all those things? Whatever it is, if it was not for his lyrical genius, you would not think twice. Coming with an unforgettable flow, his voice sounds like a fusion of Shyne and the Notorious B.I.G., while his lyrical techniques are similar to the legend and hip-hop veteran Tupac. From writing his own music, to producing his own beats, D.White has a fresh flow that is fire on these streets. His rugged voice and his forceful mentality blend perfectly with his descriptive story tales to create and maintain a constant tune in the minds of critics all around.
Originally from Philadelphia, David Allen Reeves, a.k.a. D-White, is an intriguing by product of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, his current home. D.White endured a roving childhood, living with his mother, Grandparents, and Aunt in various states, before eventually ending up in Washington, D.C. in 1991. Backed by a home grown fusion of gospel and hip-hop, D.White inquired a natural passion for music.
D.White describes himself as a modest rapper with a clear-cut persona. He is a rap artist whose narratives reflect his real life experiences. Most of his songs are based upon pain, life, love, and lessons learned. It is only when he puts the pain to the paper that you can truly understand him. His upcoming album Plead The 5th is a recollection of the last five-years of his life. He exposes aspects of his life never revealed, and he dares his audience to take a walk back in time with him. The album features songs such as: Were Going All Out, Just a Week Ago, Thats not my Chick, Down Tonight, and Fast Life.
The exposure to all things different has flavored D.Whites art form. Having gotten involved in drug trafficking at a young age, D.White was incarcerated in 2002 for possession and intent to distribute; which carried a seven year sentence. His sentence was eventually suspended to a year. It took being incarcerated to cause a revelation in D.White. Motivated by such icons as; Tupac, Jay-Z, and Anita Baker, D.White began rapping in 2002 and he has been on the grind ever since.
D.White is determined to make way in the music industry. In 2005, he was introduced to five motivated individuals who saw potential in his lyrical style. They all put there knowledge together to form a company known as Azar Productions. D.White was one of two artist involved in the initial formation of the company. Often saying, This is something I live and I love...and if the next artist doesnt feel the same way, then hes not real (As he grins). D.White is a gifted and persistent artist who believes in his skill, and will not stop until he is heard worldwide.
I was tremendously influenced musically by my family, whom spent most of their time in church. My family is all musically talented, and that is where my love for music originated. I began writing poetry in middle school, which in turn helped me to develop my musical style. From that point on, I learned to transform my poetry into melodies, and that is where I truly began to discover my lyrical talents.
