..::MIKE NITTY ::.. | | |
He came in search of the american dream....In the original city of sin.
During the past ten years if you happened to pick up a mix tape from the tri-state area, you probably heard something done by MR. Mike Nitty. Whether it be a hook, a few bars or behind the production table.... Mike NItty has done it all. Hip-Hop has been a major part of Nitty's life since he was a teenager. Many knew that Mike Nitty was destined to become a major player on the rap scene when they started hearing his CDs on the street. Now Mr. Nitty is about to see his hard work pay off. The young rapper has come a long way and he's beginning to get his props.Born in the gambling haven of Atlantic City where he began rhyming at a young age, Nitty has always been determined to succeed. Raised by his mother who loves him so much, gave Mike the fuel he needed to pursue his dream. In '97 he began laying verses down on mixtapes but it wasn't until DJs such as Clue,K-Slay,Whoo Kid, Three Kingz, Wats, Cutmaster, Action PAc, Kool Kid, P.Cutta, Myth, Famous, Do It All, Big Trees Entertainment and Chill Will gave Nitty a chance to truly show his talent on their street mixtapes. Soon after, Mike Nitty decided to put his own mixtapes together and started droppin them on the scene.To date.... between his own and tapes he's been asked to bless, Nitty's name has appeared on over 50 thousand, that's right 50 Thousand mixtapes swarming the NY, NJ, PA, MD, DC & VA as well as the West Coast And VEgas. If you haven't heard a tape with Nitty on there, then you're not looking hard enough.Just like every other hot commodity, others pursued him in the industry that at the time wanted to make the artist/producer shine. He even entered into a production deal with Pleasantville's own Darkchild Entertainment run by Rodney Jerkins. Mike Nitty wasted no time in putting his pen to work appearing with artists such as Gina Thompson (That Thing You Do Remix ft. Raekwon the Chef and Craig MAck), No Authority ( Don't Stop), Brownstone (Let's Get It STarted), Immature(IMX) (I Can't Wait), and Tasha Holiday (Just The Way You Like It). Tragically, after these tracks... Nitty became caught up in "Industry Limbo". It came to a point where there wasn't much Rodney Jerkins could do for Mike so they decided to go their separate ways.During a short hiatus, Mr. Mike Nitty Never stopped working. He decided to concentrate on developing himself as an artist and a producer, trying to learn as many aspects of the industry as possible. He went on to produce the hit "Love Session" which was on the Barbershop Soundtrackfeaturing Ruff Endz and Tony STarks a.k.a Ghostface Killa From there he went on to work with artists such as G-Dep, Loon, Ginuwine, and Jazz from Dru Hill. If this wasn't enough for the up incoming rapper/producer he began touring with such artists as The LOX, Kool G Rap, Brand Nubians, Special Ed, Chef Raekwon and Craig MAck. He's Produced his own debut solo album From The Bottom To The Top featuring the hit single "Mash On 'Em" which is slated to be released in the near future.Currently in 2005, Nitty has just finished producing 9 tracks for 50 Cents' life documentary titled "50 Cent Refuse 2 Die" that was released on November 8, 2005 by New Line Home Video and Sony BMG.There is no limit to Nitty's talent and work ethic. It's these same qualities combined with his determination that has radio, label execs and DJs beating down Mr. Nitty's door!This self-contained artist/producer Mr. Mike Nitty IS the industry's next hot thing!
