I read a recipe like it's science fiction. I get to the end and say, 'that's not going to happen.' -

About Me

I am a 33 year old wife and mother of a 14 year old girl. I am 5'4", weighing 195 pounds with long brown wavy hair, hazel eyes, pale skin, with freckles here and there, a nice smile, and cute feet, or so I'm told. I've been married for over 14 years to a very talented artist. I've spent most of that time attempting to make him aware of his obvious talents and to stop minimizing his own accomplishments. I'm a very loyal, compassionate, caring friend to many, and I'm very lucky that I have that compassion, loyalty and caring returned to me in any time of need I have. I try to be upbeat most of the time, if I can't be downright silly, I'm at least optimistically sarcastic which normally gets a laugh out of anyone. In general though I'm a realist. I don't see the glass as half empty or half full, I see that the glass is clear, therefore I can see through it to know how much liquid its holding. My favorite color is purple, which is evident from most of my wardrobe and belongings, although I'm not monochromatic either. I also collect unicorns, I think they are majestic and beautiful. And I collect an odd toy from time to time as well as all things Eeyore. I have a bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology from Marshall University, but because I cannot practice without my Masters Degree and did not wish to spend an additional three years in school after I finally finished my bachelors in 1999. I opted to go out into the work force and find any job I could. I worked for a company for almost 7 years and was laid off when they closed our facility in May of 2006. I then worked as a telemarketer selling of all things, internet connection. And that went by the wayside as well and now I'm onto collections again.

My Interests

Unicorns, Eeyore, Muppets, animals, pets, cats, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Red Dwarf, Kevin Smith, Joss Whedon and Nightcrawler. Neil Patrick Harris

I'd like to meet:

Anyone that I lost touch with in the past, or maybe someone new, who knows?

Music:

I like all forms of music. I only dislike lyrics that are vulgar and distasteful or violent. I used to listen to most of my music on Tornado Radio online, my favorite DJ was Darkside before he stopped hosting a show there. I usually would request from him songs like Nickleback's Photograph, Breaking Benjamin's Rain and The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang.

My Stripper Song Is
Like a Virgin by Madonna

"Like a virgin, ooh, ooh
Like a virgin
Feels so good inside
When you hold me, and your heart beats, and you love me"

No virgin-ness implied. Not at all. What Song Should You Strip To?

Movies:

Last saw: Hancock. Still love: A History of Violence, and Serenity. DVD's received for Christmas: The Bourne Ultimatum, Superman Returns, Live Free or Die Hard, Cadillac Man, The Frighteners, and a set of 4 Horror favorites: Wolfen, Body Snatchers: The Invasion Continues, Coma, and Bad Moon. First DVD ever owned: Dogma. Recently Acquired: Mallrats and Chasing Amy!

Television:

I don't watch a lot of television anymore because my puter isn't in the same room as the tv now. If any Law and Order show is on I'm likely to watch, Lennie Briscoe was my favorite character by far, Jerry Orbach you are sadly missed. I was a weekly watcher of shows such as Quantum Leap and Star Trek: The Next Generation. When I wasn't working on Thursday nights I used to watch NBC's lineup of Must see shows such as Will and Grace, Friends and ER. I also watched Angel which led into backtracking and seeing Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I loved Huff on Showtime and was very attached to Oz when I had HBO. I enjoyed Monk and The Dead Zone. I did finally meet my goal and watched all of Firefly. I know I'll love 24, Lost, House, and Grey's Anatomy, but I've not invested any time into seeing any of them. But I did get completely sucked in by Heroes, can't wait for the next episode.

Books:

Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird. Currently waiting for the next Star Trek Titan book, but the release date was moved from January 2007 to October 2007 *sigh*. Recently read: The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams, and Isaac Asimov's The Gods Themselves. Also interested in novels based upon the tv show Angel.

Heroes:
