About Me

I've been "living the life" in London for the last two years and working in theatre. I am now back in Iceland to do some propper hard work. Working for a record label, in a music school and now running for parliament with the Icelandic Green Movement. It is all very exciting and busy. I am worried that if my party does not get some MPs voted, we wont stand a chance against ALCOA, ALCAN and other companies that want to turn Iceland into the biggest Aluminium factory in Europe

My Interests

Music, theatre, opera and arts in general. I also love beautiful nature and can't wait to start climbing those mountains here in Iceland.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody really, especially people wanting to get to know my amazing artists who are not only talented but SO handsome! www.reykjavikrecords.com

Music:

Big fan of all types of music... but it all depends on the mood I'm in. Current playlist on my i-pod includes: Mugison, Tenderfoot aka Without Gravity, Creed, Sting, Jeff Buckley, Cranberries, Nelly, David Gray, Leonard Cohen, Marilyn Manson, Erykah Badu, India.Aire, Athlete, The Streets, Cecilia Bartoli, Nigel Kennedy, Björk and more.....Starting to work for this record company probably means I will only love anything we release, I am exceptionaly loyal :)

Movies:

I'm not sure that I have a "favorite" anything, not a favorite cd, band, song, book, weather, season, type or movie. But I like Moulin Rouge for the way it makes me all romantic and want to sing. I like Amelie because it makes me want to be good to other people. I like Trainspotting because of good tunes, actors and its weird attitude to life. El Hijo de la novia is a great Argentinean film which is somehow so human it makes you cry. In the name of the father is a good movie... and Daniel Day Lewis is just so hot. I loved Dancer in the dark by Lars von Trier starring Björk for the music, directing, story and her great acting. I cried out loud in the cinema (quite embarrassing) and was depressed for a week after watching it, but it was worth it!Hummm... I'll think of some more soon. Can't wait to see The Scent.

Television:

Friends and Sex in the city I´ve watched on DVD but I can´t really say I have watched that much telly lately. Probably altogether 15 hours in the last two years in London. Will probably change a bit here in Iceland.

Books:

The Scent, The Kite Runner and many more. Currently reading a book about a old lady from Greenland that believes that she is the only living person left on this earth... very interesting

Heroes:

Elín Sigfúsdóttir, Managing Director of Corporate Banking in Landsbanki Íslands, one of Iceland's biggest banks. Great woman, good mother and an excellent professional, there is no other woman with a higher position than her in any bank in the country. Halla Tómasdóttir and Herdís Egilsdóttir, former teachers, one in primary school and one in university, creative, strong women who helped me to be who I am. Gwen Steffani, saw her on Oprah today. So extremely cool, so pretty, so super sexy, but somehow managed to stay totally down to earth. Dorrit, the presidents wife - elegant like no other. Sigríður Ella og Magga Pálma. Both outstanding singers and instructors who at times seem to make my life worth living.
