Subconsciously, I constantly narrate my life in my head, in the third person, in a British accent.

About Me

Born in Toronto, moved to Birmingham, and then to Atlanta...been there ever since. Mom and Pops are still there, but I'm in New York now. I can't wait to get back home though. My name (Sumeet) is Hindi for "good friend." The greatest thing I took out of college was learning that no matter what certain people are into, or are like, they're that way because it's valid to them, and no one can tell them differently...I guess that's why I pretty much like everyone I meet. I also learned that true freedom is not being able to do whatever you want; it's being detached from all the things you think you can't live without. People who spend a lot of time with me tend to get quite amused by my idiosyncrasies. Eating only one Pringle and beating Super Mario Bros. (the original one) are 2 things I have to accomplish in the near future. I would give anything to be a high school kid in the 80s cause their lives were so much cooler than mine back in school. Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet soup? Did anyone else realize that Saved by the Bell was not in fact a quality show? I was disheartened to recently recognize this. Let's see, what else? I feel invisible when I wear sunglasses. I have actually slipped on a banana peel. Skydiving is one of the coolest things I've tried. I would do it everyday if I could. I ultimately want to settle down near the warm, sunny beaches in any one of the towns around San Diego. I've considered becoming a flight surgeon for the Navy. Being a doctor and flying jets -- not a bad mix huh? My greatest desire, however, is to make mind-body medicine the norm in US biomedical hospitals. I don't think we truly appreciate how strong the ability to heal ourselves (both mentally and physically) is. The combination of medication with meditation is key. I've traveled to a lot of places, but all of a sudden, I've had this itching desire to visit Mongolia in the next 27 months. When I figure out more about myself, I'll get back to you all.
