I'm a native New Yorker born and raised in Queens the birthplace of the Ramones. I've been an electric bass player since 1981. My first band, Skin, shared a studio on Avenue A with the Bad Brains and Richard Hell and the Voidoids. Those were fun days. Some of the other bands that I have been in include The Thirty, Random Facts, Lovecraft, Elgin Marbles, Catwalk and Einstein's Dog. I studied fretless bass with Percy Jones of Brand X and Brian Eno's band. In 1991 I founded Grey Area Studios in SOHO with my friend and bandmate Steve Ovenden and sound engineer Phil Tally. We were strictly a rehearsal studio with clients including Sick of It All, Foetus, The Cro Mags, the Swans, Helmet and others I can't quite remember. About 6 years ago the name of the studio changed to Candy Ear when we added digital recording. More recently I have added Film Music Supervisor to my resume having worked on the independent film Ghostlight. I'm a member of the outrageous band Lone Vein. I currently live in Woodstock in the Catskills where it's nice and quiet.
