Hockey is my main interest, I could eat, sleep, breath, watch, or play it any day of the week. I also like hanging out with my floor, hockey parties (best on campus), going to the gym, playing other sports, etc. I also just started playing the guitar not too long ago.We don't play hockey because it's fun. Ask any of us, most of us hate it. All the practices, politics and the conditioning, but we couldnt imagine our life without it. Its part of us, the 'love/hate' relationship. It's what we live for. We live for those practices, the countless miles and sprints we ran 8 months ago in training camp, the feeling you get every time you hear, 'GOAL LINE', all the moments when you felt like quitting... when you didn't think you could skate anymore. But we also live for the parties, nights just hangin out and doing absolutely nothing with the team, the nights at the bar and the blackouts that usually followed, the long bus rides, the highs and the lows of it all, the smell of the locker room, hearing all the stories from the weekend before practice and even the coaches we hate but appreciate, all of it. We live for the way it feels when you get that win in overtime. We live for the way we become a family with all these kids that were strangers 8 months ago. We live for the competition, the memories, the pain, having 20 brothers to share it with. No other sport can create this closeness we have. It's our sport, it's who we are. Here's to faceoffs, goals, assists, overtime, livin' on the road, cold rinks, early mornings, breakaways, goin' top cheese , countless hours of practice, bag skates,thousands of dollars, crushing forwards, big hits, broken twigs, new skates, packin' bombs, wheelin' broads, throwin sauce , coaches, adding the letter "y" to the end of everyone's last name, livin dust, pick up, fights, let downs, miracles and most of all - the game, Hockey...
