These demons I got they're amazing

About Me

A radio student that loves listening to radio and finding music. Don't need to be brand new, just something I haven't heard before, and cool.

Radio has been a steady education for me, from listening to Simon Mayo on the R1 breakfast show when I was a kid and Bruno Brookes doing the chart, I was hooked! But the first time I really felt I wanted to do this for the rest of my life was sat in my room listening to The Evening Session with Steve Lamacq & Jo Whiley. A truly magical show and a time that shall never be forgotten. Some of the stuff I'm listening to at present; Jupitus, Zane Lowe, Clint Boon (Boon Army!), Bruce Dickinson, Craig Charles, Bob Dylan and whatever I pick up along the way.

Stuff I'm into at the moment includes Cold War Kids, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Bellrays, Kasabian, Dylan, Howie Payne (RIP The Stands!), Mundy and Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly. Other stuff that I'm heavily into when they're about is bands like The Music, Kings Of Leon, Oasis, Primal Scream, Ocean Colour Scene, The Modfather (Mr. Weller!) and a bit of Richie Ashcroft never did anybody any harm!

There's some 'legend type' bands who aren't about anymore, they get a mention. Step forward Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses (cause whatever Axl Rose says, it IS dead), The Beatles, Stone Roses, Cast, The Verve, New Order/Joy Division, Smiths and The Libertines

God is a concept for me, I worship music. Every sunday, I pray to Lennon, Harrison, Bonham, Morrison, Lynott, Cobain, Best and Peel. The epitomisation of true genius was in these men.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone. I love listening to and talking about music, if anyone wants to join in, go for it. No weirdos though guys, I'm not here to make dates or get seedy. I'm here to have a laugh. Be chilled and we'll get along.

Music:

I'm not going to be one of these people who just says 'anything' to make themselves look good. My first love is Rock n' ROll and Indie music. That's where I turn to when I don't know what to play. Outside of that, I can listen to a few different styles of music without being in pain, well apart from speed garage and other related shite. Love a bit of funky house, trance, hard house music, really enjoy a good bit of hip hop / rap, but was brought up on rock n' roll and rock music so any of that along with indie/alternative pushes my buttons a bit harder!

Movies:

Yeah, so I could just list some decent films. I'd rather list films that have had a profound effect on my life instead....True Romance (taught me not to take life so serious and go after what you desire)

Human Traffic (taught me not to forget to have fun and enjoy being here)

Trainspotting (taught me not to do smack or any of that shit)

Television:

Catherine Tate Show - disconcertingly funny

Only Fools & Horses - Gotta love the classics!

Books:

Catcher In The Rye (Salinger)

The Alchemist (Coelho)

Power Of Now (Tolle)

Heroes:

John Lennon, Noel Gallagher, Ian Gillan, Paul Weller, Steve Lamacq, Bryan Robson, George Best, My parents.
