About Me

Lets keep it simple, i am Matt Bass, thats really all there is to say.

My Interests

Interests are a funny thing, for me at least, because i have lots of them, but often never partake in the action of the interests because i get distracted by another one. So in actuality im interested in getting distracted by my interests. wierd. In case what i said confused you, i will put down some of my interests here so that you don't have an aneurysm. I like to chill, stare off into space, listen to music, attempt to mess around with programs such as AcidPro and cakewalk (always fun to see what kinds of stuff you can come up with) I also enjoy watchin movies, even though ive found that i cant really ever sit still long enough to watch them, a good example, im watching a movie right now (kiss the girls), at this moment im typing this, however the tv is in the other room. I can hear the tv, but cant see it. its pretty sweet, because it takes me like a month to watch an entire movie. i mean i CAN sit still to watch a movie, but there usually has to be someone else sitting next to me watchin it. because then its kinda awkward if i just get up and leave during the movie and then come back 20 minutes later. cause then there has to be that "so what did i miss? catch up period" and while they are telling you about what happened while you were gone, you miss what happened while you were there. its a vicious cycle, so i try and stay seated and look helplessly antsy.

I'd like to meet:

People in general, ohh and definitely the guy who came up with klondike bars. those things are so good, what really sells is the polar bear on the front. why do you think coca cola uses polar bears for advertising coke?
You Passed 8th Grade Math
Congratulations, you got 10/10 correct! Could You Pass 8th Grade Math?I wanted to see if i still had what it took!

Music:

i listen to a wide array of music such as; Metal, Rock, rap, techno, industrial, alternative, punk, reggae, classical, country. Some of my favorite examples are: NIN, front line assembly, Aphex Twin, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, As i lay Dying, RATM, Delerium, Otep(I still cant believe its a chic singing, not the kind of girl you bring home to meet the Mom) Misfits, Sabbath, Maiden, Bullet for my valentine, Rammstein, Pantera, tool, a perfect circle, bleeding through, thrice, avenged sevenfold, Atreyu, poison the well, Norma Jean, AFI, descendents, ALL, Hieroglyphics, Del the Funky Homosapien, beastie boys, Marvin Gaye, The Reverend Al Green, Otis Redding, Barry White, Chemical brothers, Daft Punk, Christopher Lawrence, Massive Attack, Benny Benassi - Satisfaction (what a great song). Thats just to name a few, i also enjoy all that popular stuff but refuse to list it because it changes too damn fast. you could probably assume that i like/listen to everything and anything with a beat. I even like the stuff that you hear in the elevator on your way up to the criminal processing floor. Regardless, its all good in my book, however there are bands in these aforementioned categories that i believe should be destroyed, and when i say destroyed i mean, death by musical instrument impaling. these include but are not limited to: Yellowcard...

Movies:

I just saw King Kong, that was long, i couldnt sit still long enough to watch the whole thing. I think i missed the part between when the ship had just set sail and then i came into Kong fighting dinosaurs. Did i miss a lot or what?

Television:

Macgyver best show ever. I mean is it wrong to have the entire DVD collection of every show and movie. I mean 19 DVD's it seems like a lot. But i mean friends was more than that and no one gives anyone with all those dvd's a wierd look. Macgyver can make a bomb out of a lead pipe some rust and some aluminum shavings. Joey can barely spell his name, let alone create anything from common household products. Ok back to good but not awesome tv shows, Jeopardy, a good show for learning and the idea of interactivity. And the winners for Matt Bass' most watched other shows... Lost, ER, CSI, Family Guy...Giggidy...giggidy

Books:

well so far ive read a lot of books for school. But a proud accomplishment of mine has been and im sure will always be; I read the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons in 7 days, and thats over work and school. It was awesome. I also like John Saul, Stephen King...before he became a book a month writer, Dean Koontz, and i read a book on tantra once. Does anyone know if when you read a semi-religious book like that, am i supposed to make up how i think some of the names of the gods sound, or research that before i read the book. It could be helpful to know so i dont get interested in an idea and then have to do double research trying to understand what i was reading in the first book by the references i read in the second book. Just a thought.

Heroes:

My mom, because somehow someway she put up with me and made me the way i am today. For those of you that know me, i know your all thinking, ahhh so shes responsible for Matt Bass. well yes and no, she did play a small role in keeping me in check and making sure that while she was around that i wouldnt get arrested or possibly mugged(for some reason she still worries about this) but it was my will to search for the truth and that truth often was found in an un-lit observatory parking lot where i was harrassed by the local police for 1. staying out past curfew(my town had curfew at 10pm how incredibly lame is that, i mean honestly) 2. then preceded to try and convince my date at the time that she was in trouble. (screw that guy, i bought that girl dinner and ice cream and didnt even get a kiss goodnight) 3. then followed me 2 miles down the road till i pulled in to her house to drop her off, then slowly creeped by me as her parents came to the door to look at the end of a perfect date. Another Hero of mine has to be Macgyver, i mean he is about as awesome as it gets. I mean hes Mr. Fix-it and always gets the girl in the end. What more could you ask for in a role model.Im sorry i think this is literally my all time favorite commercial.
