Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.

About Me

"Time shall run its course to bring the truth to light. And my love will still burn bright even when the sun has turned to night." -Eric Geyer
Let's see...I have a lust for life and a bit of a carpe diem mentality. It seems that I can never get too much of what life has to offer. I am a dabbler of many trades and professions. I love to learn new things. There's a quote that struck me once that said, "Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself." With that I have just been trying to live the best and fullest life I know how to, whether that be all the adrenaline adventures I go on such as bungy jumping, skydiving, marathon running, mountain climbing...and the list goes on...to achieving multiple degrees and certificates in a wide range of fields I'm just trying to live this gift of life to the fullest.

Music:

I am a huge fan of Jason Mraz. Other favorites include Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, Dashboard Confessional, Howie Day, Amos Lee, Incubus, Snow Patrol, Damien Rice, Coldplay, Marc Cohn, Julie Roberts, Anna Nalick, Mindy Smith, Tristan Prettyman, Donovan Frankenreiter, pretty much anyone with an acoustic guitar and some powerful lyrics. This list could go on forever. I enjoy pretty much all music except for hard core rap and death metal.

Movies:

My favorite movie is True Romance. Other movies that I love I would have to say Green Street Hooligans, the whole Cameron Crowe collection that he's done. I love Point Break even if you wanna trash it. Garden State really hit home for me. And of course you gotta love Fight Club and Good Will Hunting.

Television:

My favorite t.v. show has to be Nip/Tuck at the moment. I am completely blown away at how raw and honest and insane that show is. Haven't had a show make me comment out loud since the first couple seasons of Alias. The Office is pure comedy gold.

Books:

Although I know Men's Health isn't a book it is definitely in the top of my reading rotation month in and month out. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, The Five Love Languages, and any other real estate investment book I can get my hands on these days. I also thoroughly enjoyed reading The Davinci Code, any and all of the Worst Case Scenario books, and Extreme Encounters by Greg Emmanuel.

Heroes:

I haven't had a hero since I was little and his name was Zach Galindo. We grew up together ever since I was in kindergarten and I always looked up to him because he was older, was good at everything he did and well respected by his friends and family. He was everything I wanted to be. After years apart and then running into him again I found that I out grew him. It was one of those things that you never expected to happen, but it just did and since then I haven't had any real heroes in my life. I think instead of heroes in my life I have replaced them with characteristics and qualities that I see in other people that I would like to incorporate in my life. But yeah... my last hero was Zach Galindo and I don't think I ever told him that or that he ever knew, but he in a lot of ways made one of the biggest impacts on my life growing up and where ever he is Thank You for that Zach.
