I Love getting together with our group of Renaissance-adorned Street Team friends and our favorite Minstrels for a great time of friendship and music. It is always a splendid time. Jim, Barry, and Frank are simply the best there is, and good conversationalists as well, good times with great people.As far as who I'd like to meet that I have not: 1) Someone who can help me understand what I'm supposed to do with this 4th dimension I've been privy to witness. 2) A scientist who can explain how to travel without propulsion. 3)The person my father saw on his last day.To my friends in Germany: It has been too long since I've been there to see you. I can't wait to visit again.
I play in the band Storyteller here in the SF Bay Area, it is with them I explore the art of creativity and sharing my soul through musical experience. Blackmore's Night is my favorite music, theirs is more than music to me; it is pure inspiration, pure art, pure love - it moves me and speaks to me. Ritchie I view as my mentor, nobody does it like him. I learn so much from his playing, writing, and recording. I have always been challenged musically by what he does.
I enjoy movies that rely on good acting and a good story, as opposed to special effects; a few I've enjoyed lately are "My name is David", "Joyeux Noel", "The 5 people you meet in Heaven", and "Master and Commander". Authentic historical novel type movies fascinate me.
I only watch three channels - History Channel, Discovery Channel, and CNN. The rest to me is a waste of time, like sitting there watching someone else live. My time is better spent living and striving to achieve in my own life, rather than watching someone else do it.
Too many to mention. Knowledge is strength, and there is much to learn.
Anyone who transcends their "lot" in life, who won't settle for what comes along. I admire someone who betters themselves and has a positive impact on the lives of those around them. There are those around me that help shape the lives of others that want a second chance, and do it because they "want to help" with no hidden agenda - I admire that quality.My other "heroes" are those who stand out in their fields of expertise. The doctor who is admired by other doctors, people like Ritchie and Jeff Beck who play guitar like their the ones that invented the guitar; there's life in their music, and that doesn't happen without a passion and dedication for their trade. I admire their example.
