Let’s see. I'm long overdue for an update at this point. I just got a promotion at the Attorney General’s Office and I am now handling almost all of DMV’s personnel cases. That means that when an employee gets fired, written up, feels discriminated against or harrassed, or doesn’t get a promotion, I represent the agency. I’m still in court a lot handing Intoxilyzer refusal cases but, fortunately, I get to stay closer to Raleigh and hang out with my two favorite boys - Scott and Bailey. The work is much different from what I’m used but I’m thankful for the opportunity to branch out and litigate more complex issues. As for plans for the new year, I’m hopeful that Em and I will complete a 10k run and I would also like to finish a 50k bike race by late summer. My long term plans are to learn how to cook and not have to rely on canned goods, cereal and Subway for survival, and to dedicate at least a few days for a vacation every year, but I’ll take baby steps toward reaching my goals. Overall, life is good. I have wonderful friends and family, a great job and colleagues, and I’m happier than I ever imagined I could be.
