I have recently changed my settings for friend requests due to an overwhelming amount of spam requests. So, if you don't already know my email address or last name, send me a message (which if you read below, you'll see you need to do anyway). If you are a band that wants me to add you, send me a message and I'll check out your music.
Fellow Carbon Leaf fans, and new bands whose music I would enjoy.
A little side note: While I'm not at all opposed to adding people to my friends list whom I don't personally know (that's part of the point of this right?), please send along a little message introducing yourself or I won't add you. I also am not interested in adding guys (or girls) who mention SEX (I like how it's usually in all caps too) copiously in their space nor who have added a bevy of "friends" who appear to be in the midst of bondage scenarios and/or soliciting themselves nor who have a friends list full of random women that you've added to make yourself look like a player (hint, if all of your Top Friends are women and most of your comments are those annoying graphics alluding to sex then you fall into this category). I also have no use and actually hold quite a lot of contempt for married guys who send messages that call me "sexy" or "sweetie". Why don't you try talking to your wife? And please do NOT send me pictures of you in various states of undress or messages declaring your undying love (especially all of you guys living overseas... do I look that gullible and naive?)... please you've never met me.... or requesting to see particular body parts (can we all say Neanderthal?). And one last thing, if you can't form a literate sentence in English, please don't send me a message. I'm here to meet REAL people and not porn-star wannabes. So if that's you.... go ahead and move along. If you do send me a message and you fit any of the above description, don't expect a reply from me as I'll just delete the message since I can tell that you didn't bother to read anything about me before sending a message.
For any of my former students, I'm happy to get messages from you but please don't ask me to add you to my friend list... that's just a little too weird for me.
