When life hands me lemons - i put them in my bourbon drink and say 'thank you life.'

About Me

I love the sound rice crispies make, even though some days I feel too far from my childhood to eat them. Plus, I don't think they taste that great. I think if I had a million dollars, I would have the sound of rice crispies going in the morning but I would eat bacon. I love the sound my friends make when they are laughing so hard that one of them snorts and there is like this second pause before everyone laughs harder. I love the feeling of grass between my toes at a concert, when it isn't quite summer, so you have all of this mayhem and fun to look forward to for three whole months. And most of all, I love buying a ticket to something, anything. A plane, a concert, a movie....some tiny piece of paper that signifies an experience waiting to happen. Life is about experience not personal possession. No one looks back at the end of it all and goes.....Damn am I happy I bought that blue sweater. I have blonde hair, green eyes and an addiction to cream cheese. I would never want to be famous. In an ideal world, there would be trains you could hop on to anywhere for a minimal amount of money and all my friends would live within an hours drive. I love to write, it is all I can do somedays. And I love my own feet. I am, in fact, possibly a little obsessed with them. This is not a fetish thing in any way, I just think they are cute.

My Interests

I love to travel, hear live music, play guitar, write and hang out with friends. I recently resigned and became a freelance writer ... which affords me a great deal of time to travel, hear live music, play guitar, write and hang out with friends. Oddly, I mostly write. Give me a shout if you need something written. ha! Rick Rushing Photos:

Rain on Cicadas

I am out on my back deck, listening to the cicadas recount their days across the trees to one another. I am toying with the idea of food options as the rednecks next door create racket through the wal...
