My name is Lazaro Cerdan, but my friends call me Laz. I do a lot of various things in the music industry, from artist development to concert & festival promoting, to owning my own record label. I started out in 1988 doing house parties, moved up to doing hall parties and then moved up to doing major concerts. Along the way I’ve had two record shops-one in Cancun, Mexico and the other in Chicago. I have also owned two record companies-one which was distributed by Sony. I managed and developed two of Chicago's hottest Freestyle groups: "Legacy" (Girls do it just for fun) and "LAW" (One more chance for love). I had an awesome mix show on Viva 103.1 FM and on La Onda with the best DJs in Chicago. I work side by side with many major artists and with many great people behind the scene. Additionally, I have worked with many different companies, like Universal Music, and Artist/producers like Luny Tunes. I could go on and on but you would be bored-I like to keep it to the point. I have traveled to many cool places I dreamed of as a kid, like Spain, France, Italy and even South Beach lol. I have no idea how many miles I have put in, but I have seen a lot of beaches world wide. I just recently started working with a new artist, “Yaimaâ€, whose album will be in stores nation wide soon (it‘s kick ass, can‘t wait).
