About Me
I began my life in Youngstown, Ohio, my mother a homemaker and my father a military man. As the oldest girl of ten children, (my brother Robert is the oldest), I had lots of colorful responsibilities. Creativity can be seen in all of us... my brother Marvin is an amazing artist and my sister Evelyn is an award winning photographer.I have always had the gift of seeing a unique and complicated beauty in the world which I have tried to capture in my work. Many different mediums have intrigued me along my creative path but I always return to my first love which is extraordinarily colorful and bold abstracts.My original work has been featured in shows in and around Ohio. I am constantly working to expand my craft through advance training. I began to focus on ceramics during my time in Washington, DC. Since my move to the west coast I am working to share my work with the world through my web site (www.TheresaManigault.com )and various shows around the country.Over the years I have taken breaks from the art world to channel my energy into mothering my four amazing children and ten energetic grandchildren... I consider them to be my best work yet!As the travel companion to my youngest daughter, Omarosa Onee, I have been all over the world.
