The Mets. Wiffle Ball and Rolfing
Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, Derek Smalls and Viv Savage.
Where to begin? There is so much great music. Unfortunately it is getting harder to find good new music. The Beatings The Beatles, Dylan, The Boss, Neil Young, Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, Dinosaur Jr., Built To Spill, Modest Mouse, Wilco, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Velvet Underground, Camera Obscura, Belle & Sebastian, Pavement, Elvis Costello.
I try to get to the movies at least 2-3x a month. Although I usually research them a bit so I don't accidentally see something seriously crappy. All-time faves include "The Third Man", "Rushmore", "Groundhog Day", "Miller's Crossing", "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."
The Simpsons pre-1999 is some of the best TV ever. Now it sucks so bad I haven't been able to watch it since 1998. Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Police Squad.
Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, George MacDonald Frasier, Elmore Leonard, Arturo Perez-Reverte. "Confederacy of Dunces" is an all-time favorite of mine. "The Tao of Pooh" "The Curious Case of Sidd Finch" "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" "Catch-22"
The '86 Mets. Those guys could party! Also Sgt. Frank Drebben, Detective Lieutenant Police Squad
