About Me

I grew up in North Cackilacky. I live in west Los Angeles with my beautiful wife (hey, this is not my beautiful house) and my kid, Henry.
I have a yard, a garage, a bike, a computer, Tivo, satellite television, a stereo, a cordless drill, a tool box, a grill, an iPod, Xbox 360, a Wii, too, and a collection of miscellaneous crap including a closet full of clothes that I never wear.
Pretty much everything I need in life.
I'm a huge supporter of the efforts, struggles, goals, hopes, dreams, creativity, passion and fire that my family and circle of friends brings to bear in their constant drive to better the world.
I'm a big believer in hope and an optimist when it comes to changing the world.
I'm the author of the blog Left on Red: Tales from L.A.I work for:

My Interests

Hanging out with my family, holding my son and staring at him in disbelief, imagining myself actually redoing our backyard, seeing friends as often as possible, playing XBox, listening to XM radio through my DirectTV, being in awe of our HDTV, showing up at work and having fun doing what I do.

Music:

70s on 7, XM Cafe, The Loft, RadioParadise.com, Groove Salad on iTunes, KCRW, Jesse Dayton, Luke Cunningham, and Bryan Masters, and all my friends out there who make a little music. My tastes vary, so XM and Internet radio are my saving grace. Plus whatever CDs Scott Wensman brings to work.

Movies:

The funniest movie of all time is Withnail & I. If you haven't seen it, see it. My favorite actor is Ewan McGregor, because he seems to do so much with the talent he has been given, and I thought his documentary on motorbiking across Eurasia was brilliant.

Television:

Survivor, Amazing Race and Project Runway. I'm embarassed to admit I'm addicted to reality tv.

Books:

I don't read as much as I'd like, but when I do it's often contemporary British fiction (Nick Hornby, Martin Amis, Ian Mcewan, David Lodge, Kazuo Ishiguro). I've been trying to read Haruki Murakami, but have not met with much success.

Heroes:

My father, my wife, my grandparents, my family and friends, and all the people who have the courage and character to stand up for what they believe, and to make the most of the time we've been given on this earth.
