I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult

About Me

I’m your average male, I have 1-house 2-cars, 1-motorcycle, 1-dog, a desk job, a twisted sense of humor, an ADD diagnosis just to keep things mixed up a bit, and a very patient and understanding wife.

My Interests

Motorcycling, Cooking, Reading, Learning, or anything that has the potential of turning in to an adventure.

I'd like to meet:

Can't think of anyone that impresses me enough to go out of my way to meet him or her. However I would like to me my maker, as long as it is not prematurely.

Music:

I like all types of music. I didn’t say I like all music. Thanks to itune & MySpace I have found a lot of really crappy music.

Movies:

I love movies I find them very relaxing. I tend to gravitate to comedy & action movies, but Karyn and watch most movies together so the romantic comedy seem to top the list.

Television:

I don’t watch very many sitcoms or dramas, but TLC, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel, Science Channel, and the National Geographic Channel manage to suck up my time in the late evenings.

Books:

I love to read; I read mostly crime drama and suspense type books. I’m not sure but I think I’m addicted to magazines. I read all kinds, motorcycle, automotive, photography, audio/video, music, science, woodworking, guns, boating, cycling, tattooing, and travel. Anytime something peaks my interest I buy a magazines on the subject. I’m looking for a 12-step program to help me with this, but no one is publishing a magazine dealing with this problem.

Heroes:

I don’t know that I have any heroes I do however have people that I admirer. My dad, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein, and anyone that succeeds in something that everyone else was telling them could not be done. I think heroes are over rated. When we label someone as a hero we place them on a pedestal and shine a spotlight on their good qualities and then become disillusioned with them when they make a mistake and the weaknesses are exposed.

Idiots in the south

I hate to talk bad about the quaint little southern town in which I reside, but I'm really beginning to think we have several full-blown idiots with an incredible amount of influence throwing their op...

Learning to Dance

After two years Karyn has finally talked me into taking a dance class with her. You might think it took two years to convince me to dance; this is not the case at all, dancing sounds and looks like fu...

Why I am a Grinch

First of all I really do like Christmas the giving part anyway.  As most adults I have learned that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.  I cannot think of anything more enjoyab...

social norms & moral compasses

Exactly who decides what is the social norm? I personally think it is a very small minority that has an extremely loud and never tiring voice.   It does not require a majority to prevail, but rat...
