I'd like to meet:
People who enjoy sharing their funny stories and can look back at the things that have happened to them in their life and realize that they happened for a reason and they have grown stronger because of all the crap they have endured.
I'd also like to meet People who are not bitter about the hand life has dealt them and who actually enjoy other people.

Music:
The music I enjoy depends on the reason I'm listening to the music.
I love karaoke, and my voice works well with ballads, so I enjoy listening to them and learning them.
However, if I want to dance, it can be anything from country two-stepping music to hip-hop... just as long as it has a beat that moves my feet
Trips down memory lane could contain any of the music from the 50's to the 90's and in just about any genre.
I played the flute for many ears, so I even have a healthy appreciation for classical music.
As far as listening goes, the only things I don't typically listen to are Metal and Rap... and that is more because I truly enjoy knowing what the artist is saying, and am rarely able to in those genre's.. However, I have been known to enjoy the Ballads sang by Metal bands
Movies:
Ok... can we just say that I'm one of those people who is into just about anything?
Typically the only movies I don't enjoy are the ones that scare me, or the ones that are just so bizarre that I don't get them.
I love Disney movies and am so grateful that there has always been a child in our family to enjoy them with me
Chick Flicks are a definite for me... Nothing like a feel good movie with a happy ending!
Then there are all the comedies... Who doesn't love to laugh!
Did you see my music selections? Was there any doubt that I would love musical movies as well? In my opinion, some of the best work in Hollywood was put on the screen in the form of song and dance movies.
Then there's all that action... Nothing like a movie that keeps me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next!
Oh, and don't forget the drama... I try to keep it out of my day to day life, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching it on the big screen
I think the only movies I don't really enjoy are the horror ones... I just don't like being frightened or grossed out the way those typically do... and yes, I do see the humor in the stupidity of the people in those movies (Oh my, I hear a strange noise and 4 of my 6 friends have been murdered in the last 24 hours... let me go see what that noise is... DUH!!!! RUN!!!!) but even with that humor, I just don't typically find these movies to be very enjoyable
Television:
Ok... here we go with a section that I really don't get into... (yeah, I know... finally... LOL)
When I watch TV, and that is very rarely, I typically enjoy the same type of TV shows as the movies. I like things that make me think or feel. Oh yeah... I am a woman. LOL
Books:
Well... did you notice that one of my interests was reading? Ok... with that in mind and the way I answered the music and movie sections... do you really think I should get into the types of books I enjoy? Suffice it to say, they are numerous and the types are vast... Oh yeah... let me read that.... LOL
Heroes:
The one person who has influenced my life the most and who I admire the most is my mother... She is and will always be my personal hero, and I do my best to ensure that she knows on a daily basis that she is loved and cherished.
However, there are so many strong people that do amazing things every day and I admire them all for it. My philosophy is that if you are looking for good in people, you will find it, and I have always admired others who show that they actually live that way. Some of the people who quickly come to my mind are Paula, Kerrilynn, Freakie, Michael and Suzy... and that's just off the top of my head...
Then there are the everyday heros in my life... Those people who deal with so much on a daily basis, and still find a reason to be kind to others and have a smile on their face. I think the one who first pops into my mind in this instance is Dawn... With all she deals with on a daily basis, she doesn't allow it to get her down, she keeps moving forward, no matter if it is a centimeter or a mile... She is an amazing woman!
So, I have hero's all over my life, and I enjoy everything that they all bring to my life... To those I listed... Thanks heaps for being someone I can look up to and for being a part of my life :-) You do make a difference!!!
