About Me

Fuckin geek! And I'm thankful any time I hear anyone not understanding technical shit! Very technically-oriented, I enjoy the fine details that people usually don't pay attention to. Love math/number theory. Not quite "obsessed" with perfection but very close. I proof read everything I write, doesn't matter how long, tweak nonstop, make sure everything is just so. Really really REALLY try very very hard to do all things just right, up to my standards. That is, when I care about it. If I don't, it will pretty much be ignored...
I use quantum physics as a base for my outlook on a lot of things, it has ramifications FAR beyond what happens at the tiny levels, as the scales we see are based and depend on those smaller, more fundamental scales. I have had a feeling, an understanding, that "parallel dimensions" are a reality created by the probabilities of the events occurring since I was a kid, and many ideas have really started tying together for me in the last couple of years. Reading about the Quantum Theory of Immortality gave me quite a jolt because I already felt it for 10+ years before reading about it, and Many Worlds seemed to be coming from my own concepts as I read about it for the first time. Many Worlds basically says anything that can happen will happen, causing a split (bifurcation) where the past is the same up to that point, then all possibilities occur with new bifurcations occurring constantly. That can help explain things like how the universe was created. Anything dealing with the Big Bang, formation of suns and planets, evolution of life - these things always seem so UNLIKELY! How did it happen? How did we overcome the odds? How is our planet just close enough to the sun to have liquid water but not so close it all boiled away in to space? Well, if there is ANY chance of an event occurring, then it has a PROBABILITY, and in an infinity of POSSIBILITIES any PROBABILITY has the potential to itself occur almost infinitely. In and amongst all that, basically, anything can happen, ergo it will :) And here we are, evidenced by the fact that you are reading this! But the REALLY big concept is the next one -
The Observer Effect has put a formal name to the most amazing part, the thing that has the most profound ramifications - that what occurs is influenced by your perception. That is the true beauty of quantum to me - it brings us, our consciousness, in to the equations. We are not outside looking in on physics anymore, with quantum YOU are the most important person alive, because without YOU observing something it would not exist! The people you encounter are just shadows of their own perceptual universes, who are themselves undergoing an infinite number of simultaneous existences, sprouting new paths at every new opportunity. The Observer Effect also helps explain things like coincidence, or figuring out a concept for yourself and later finding that it is already an established idea - because you believe it to be true it has a better likelihood OF being true!
(Please read up on all of this for yourself, my summaries are rubbish compared to the texts of researchers like Brian Greene, James Gliek, Richard Feynman...)
Probably because of all that, I do tend towards not remembering things that most people should remember most of the time... I'm horrible with names, usually don't remember what things I have done in the past days/weeks, I usually forget specific events quickly, hell MOST of the bigger details, cuz I just don't CARE about most things on the surface!!! If something is self-explanatory, then there is no need to consider it any further... :) I really do ignore most things that are right in front of my face, most of my attention is usually focused on specific aspects, not the generalities.
I can ignore practically anything, almost nothing gets to me. The worst music can't get in, annoying people fade out, difficult situations will resolve themselves and come to an end somehow... I guess I'm usually in a good mood since nothing can stick, so I'm lucky in that respect! No religious beliefs, see Quantum Theory of Immortality above..... :)
Of course, more than a few times I've been called crazy, so make up your own mind...........

And my new favorite, Visitor Q, words can not describe how fucked up this movie is!!!!!!

Television:

Don't watch TV, but love downloading The Sopranos, Wonder Showzen, Jackass/Wildboyz, Twilight Zone, Laurel and Hardy, Monty Python, Benny Hill, Dragon Ball Z & GT, Upright Citizens Brigade, Top Gear, Survivorman, Little Britain, House MD, Spongebob :)

Books:

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - I have read those books at least 2 dozen times each by now. Fucking brilliant, if you have never read them, DO IT! If you can't read, shame on you! Learn to fucking read and read these fucking books!! Also anything about Chaos Theory, Quantum Theory (Many Worlds), scientific and philosophical. Done lots of Grisham, lots of Crichton, 2 of the best! Recently read half of "The Hidden Connections", pretty awful, unless you enjoy sitting through countless pages of repetitive yet pointless crap then skip it. Currently reading " The Hitchhiker's Guide " yet again, but not all the way through, just from the Krikkit Wars through the end, best part!!

Heroes:

Stephen Hawking, Noam Chomsky, Douglas Adams. Physicists, thinkers, authors. Heroes? Not quite, but men I have much respect for. Anyone capable of deep and independent thought.
