Hello everyone!!! my name is "G.ROC" one half of the group "Golden Disciples".
check us out at: www.myspace.com/gdcrew. I represent hip hop to the fullest keeping my music positive, clean, creative, new & original. I got introduce to hip hop back in 1988 & started writing my own rhymes in late 1989, it was a blessing to be a youngster writing my own rhymes, as I continued I got better. My first group was called: "Restricted" our first demo was "Restricted Raw Rugged" & Microphone Masters" we were on some "Hit Squad" "Lord Finess" "Gangstarr" "illegal" type of stuff, the group consist of me: B.G. Rocka (at that time) & Small Pac, our producer was: Ruff of "Project Underground" manager was Uzi he was also apart of "Project Underground" I give it all to those brothers, they taught us alot about the art of hip hop plus Project Underground was featured on "Electric Circus" the real Toronto heads know about that show, "Project Underground" had a good following in the community & around the Toronto area they’ve released a cassette tape in1993, I hope they re-release this some-day.I will always remeber my first time riping the mic, this was around 1992 or 93 at Davenport Perth Community Center in Toronto, it was like the time of kool Herc bringing out his turntables spinning some nice vibes, heads just getting down enjoying the vibes, no politics, no screw face, doing it for the love!!! & everyone was getting along. Well watching all the dope m/c’s free-styling we decided to step to the mic, soon as we drop our verses everyone was going wild, people never seen kids at our age at that time dropping rhymes, the only group I could remeber in Toronto at that time was "Graffiti Loglik. It’s now 2008 & I’m still reping hip hop, now apart of the group "Golden Disciples".Recently I have posted some music up on here, but I wanted to take the time to introduce myself to the people on myspace, letting everyone know how I became a lover of this "Hip Hop Culture" I’ve worked hard, still going strong & still have alot to learn. I"m working on a bunch of new projects for a future release on our own independent label Structures Built Records www.structuresbuilt.com: check out the blog: up coming projects.
Stay tuned!! the realness is back.
