About Me

Ok, I was going to write this long, boring saga about who I am and what I believe, but then I realized that, even if what I think of myself is true, that still may not be how everybody else sees me. What would work much better is if friends and close relations could fill this section out (of course, they'd probably just say I'm a sarcastic know-it-all, which is, of course, at least partially true. Hopefully it doesn't show too much). A few things of note, though: 1, I am most definitely a cat person (especially as I'm a Leo). 2, I love kids, and they definitely love me. Not that I'm dying to become a father, but I'm kinda set on having a family in the not-too-distant (like before I'm 40) future. 3, I love to sing. In fact, my biggest dream is to be able to sing for a living, because that's the one thing that never feels like work, no matter how much I do it, or how much I HAVE to do it. I sing in the shower, in the car, at church, at karaoke, even at work sometimes. I even tried out for American Idol (and at least I wasn't sent through to be made fun of! *L*). I also have 2 bands at the moment, both cover bands. Keep an eye out for bulletins on gig dates. Well, that's the basics. Ok, so I wrote a long, boring saga after all. Sorry...

My Interests

Sports (baseball - Go Red Sox!! - , softball - playing, of course - , football, college basketball), singing, reading, cooking, playing pool, and whatever else sounds good at the time.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody who doesn't abuse my generous nature or take advantage of others in general. That's the one thing that I really can't stand, and as long as a person's not doing that, we're cool.

Music:

This would be a LONG list, so we'll give the highlights: Staind, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Eve 6, Matchbox 20, Eminem, Maroon 5, Godsmack, Big & Rich, Norah Jones, Stan Getz, most Modern Rock/Alternative/Metal, a bunch of Classic Rock, a little blues, some R&B.The stuff I hate (this is a pretty short list): Britney Spears et al (Pop tarts make me wanna puke), Backstreet Boys and other boy bands (not that the music is that bad, but I can't stand the cookie-cutter crap the record companies throw out), and anything that glorifies gratuitous violence or degradation.

Movies:

I'll watch and like almost anything. The only exceptions are overly-sappy dramas or love stories, and really bad plot lines. Heck, I didn't even really dislike Waterworld....

Television:

Here's what's on my DVR: Family Guy, Avatar, House, Drawn Together, and Futurama.

Books:

Pretty much anything with a good plot line, but some of my favorites are Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series, Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot books, scattered Sci-Fi and fantasy books, and the Harry Potter series.

Heroes:

My Dad. Only now that he's gone do I realize how much I want to be like him.
