Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are geniuses in their craft. My greatest hero, Depp, is such not simply because Pirates of the Caribbean was cool. Granted, it was a great movie, and his first real piece of stardom, but that's not why I admire him. Firstly, the man's an amazing actor, whether or not you like his movies. He's versatile and unpredictable, which keeps his fans begging for more and those who don't favor him scoffing. There's also some odd perception that he's an asshole - well, he isn't. He is one of the only actors who is 'A-list' quality without being 'A-list' obsessed. No public crusades, no product endorsement. Johnny is an example of a man who does what he does because he WANTS to, not because of the money, or the fame, or anything else. Purely of want, for the fun of it. And Johnny, let me tell you: If you ever read this, take a moment to pat yourself on the back. You're amazing, no matter what anyone says. A devoted father, soon-to-be-husband, friend, and actor - in that order, and I greatly admire you for it. You're one of few in Hollywood that can look back and say "I was not a fraud, not a sell-out." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why my hero is NOT for sale.
My Chemical Romance, DragonForce, Avenged Sevenfold, Incubus, The Exies, Melee, and others like them.
Eragon/Eldest, many Edward Lee books, and mostly horror/fantasy themed ones. Eragon is the lowest in reading level I will go - I like small type and lots of pages, and good vocabulary.
