Summer Band Camp, is a fully functional Recording project healmed by Musician,producer, Tony E. This is the inside of my head and soul in the form of an audible buffet. Customized to please you, upset you, soothe you, and touch you the way one should be. Fused with dreamy guitars drifting in the deepest space to the woodiest acoustic tones backed with electric and live drum kit beats.Summer Bandcamp touches the human ear with aggressive beauty. It is not unusual to hear a pletherua of audible delights such as Zills,tambourines, harmonicas,sitars, feedback,keys,voices, electronica, strings and the list goes on!
"When I decided to start recording, "Hold all my calls, I'm going to be out of town for a while"(2005-06), I did so with the intention of collaborating with musicians I know and like.However I actually ended up recording and playing most of the instruments with the exception of the live drums.
The live drums on the Track "Delayd" above, were performed by my good friend Sergio Palacios, (Build Characters, Paragon) After we tracked I went back to work in my studio cutting and pasting his drum line were I wanted it. I'm very proud of the final cut. I write certain songs with certain musicians in mind, because I know their strengths, and their signature so to speak, so I have a good idea of the flavor they might bring to the song.
In light of the success of (Hold all my calls....) and the response I have recieved from musicians wanting to collaborate with me,
I have since started to write and record songs for my second album entitled " Songs for the summer, made in the winter". (2006).
Look for more cool collaborations from Summer Bandcamp, and even a short film composition by me for the film "Heavy" by Tomas Koolhaas(Director,Producer,writer,D.P.). TBA.
