Scooter scene, music, drinking, Leeds United (but don't hold that against me!)MARCHING ON TOGETHER Anyone fancy a day trip?
Anyone into the scooter scene with a sense of humour and the attitude for fun that the ii family have.I couldn't ask for more than that.Who I DON'T want to meet... wankers who want to add me as a "friend" then never bother to contact me again, or shite bands I've never heard of....and if they were on stage at a rally I'd go to the bar very quickly to avoid. If anyone wants me as a "friend".....ACT like one! Take the time to bother to send me a message instead of a bulletin (which I very rarely read anyway)....a message I will ALWAYS reply to.
Skinhead reggae, Ska, Northern Soul, Trojan, Motown, general scooter scene sounds including the "newer" bands of today...basically everything from funk to freakbeat. Aside from the "scooter scene" my all-time favourite band are MAN... a Welsh rock band who've been around for longer than me! Been a Manfan since 1975,sadly they still remain obscure to all but those in the know. Biggest compliment I can pay them is I've grown up with punk/new wave/mod revival/80's indie/scooter scene sounds in my life (all of which I still love and listen to) but MAN are still my favourite band.
Quadrophenia (all time fave), The Party (Peter Sellers),Clockwork Orange, The Exorcist, The Italian Job, Lock Stock,The Warriors, and 60's black & white stuff!
The Sweeney, The Champions, Randall & Hopkirk, On The Buses etc. 70's classics (I live in a time warp!)...very rarely watch telly these days as it's all that Big Brother or I'm A Nobody Get Me On The Telly rubbish...I'd rather play some music or mess about on the computer
Enid Blyton, Noddy, Richard Allen, the classics obviously!! I am the proud owner of all 18 Richard Allen books
Eddie Gray, Prince Buster, Laurel Aitken, Toots, Desmond Dekker, Captain Morgan & my wife! Anyone who's ever been in the Manband (and there's been many line-ups!) ALL the regulars who drink from "the Pipe" at the Lake Huron pub!
