I'm a band director and have been for a very long time. Single with one son and one granddaughter.Had some good years in Fairfield until the Superintendent and other district staff, both at the district office and a fellow educator, dreamed up a bunch of bull s*** charges against me and tried to fire me. They didn't think I would fight but I did. When they knew they would lose the case against me they dropped the charges and asked for an out of court settlement. I did very good in the settlement.After that I didn't want to work there. I was really happy with how the band parents really fought to keep me there .... Things change for strange reasons but we can't change the past. We were ..1 for a long time.Now....close to retirement.....I'm a grandpa and loving it.Still teaching and I am looking forward to a new opportunity this year teaching at a brand new middle school due to open in the middle of August. I'm going to fulfill a lifetime dream of teaching in the same district where my brother teaches. He will be a full time orchestra teacher and I'm full time band. It should be interesting to see the Campbell brothers in action in the same district. woooo hooooooo..
