Percussionist/Educator

About Me

I have been on the Toronto music scene for two and a half years. I moved here form from Waterloo ON where I completed my Honors Bachelor of Music degree in Orchestral Performance where I studied with David Campion and Michael Wood. I spent my first year in Toronto at Humber College where I studied vibraphone with Mark Duggan and drum set with Mark Kelso. Currently I am studying drumset with world renowned educator Jim Blackley and jazz piano with Greg Dedenus. My most recent project was the Caravan Farm Theatre's "The Blue Horse" by Peter Anderson and John Millard staged in Armstrong BC. I also play with: The Hylozoists (Indie/Classical/Minimalist, Friendlyness and the Human Rights (Reggae), The All Day Breakfast (cover band spanning multiple genres including: classic rock, soul, top 40, dance etc.), Maylee Todd (local indie singer-song writer), the Association of Improvising Musicians Toronto, and GAMTOR (Javanese gamelan ensemble). Aside from performance, I am a dedicated educator. I currently am the instructor of percussion at the Dixon Hall Music School and operate my own private studio.
