Dirks is a badass

I'm caught at the crossroads of faith and nihilism. I grew up in the church and got a first hand look at how organized religion is the greatest scam of the last thousand years. I am undecided on the existance of God. I believe that democracry works but only if you're allowed to expunge the bureaucracy ever 40-50 years. I love philosophy but as with anything else it is better to be discovered and discussed with others, not taught by all knowing professors. I'm a self taught drummer, which may be a synonym for "bad drummer" but I haven't heard too many complaints yet. I play drums in the Hooligans. I used to be a hopeless romantic but I'm pretty sure I've developed a fear of commitment. This is a curable fear, however, requiring a strong girl who will call me on my crap and keep me on the straight and narrow. I love to write but I'm at a period in my life I like to call "extended writer's block". I'm worried that it might be permanent. The beach is awesome. My good friends are my other family.
