The Lake Charles, Louisiana native first got his interest in music when he was a child singing along with TV commercial jingles. He spent his time with his two cousins, J-Heat and Ralph Deezy. Heat, a producer and a part of the minds behind the underground hit "Mo' Money", and Ralph Deezy, a up and comming rap star in ATL. In the mid 90's he move to Houston Texas southwest side and his passion for music became more and more greater. DJ SlowBoogie was just a mere spectator when it came to music until in 2000, he met his mentor DJ KunphuzeD and became really interested in the art of DJing. KunphuzeD, who already had a stronghold on the music sceen in Mo. City, took him under his wing and taught him the basics of DJing and often took him along with him on gigs and other events. In 2005 DJ SlowBoogie embarked on a journey to make his own name, then linking up with up and comming rap phenom L.M. , hit making producers Big Flo$$, The Jape Wonder of the World and East Coast Verbal Assasin Ace Boogie at the University of Texas at San Antonio. DJ SlowBoogie then began tearing up the club sceen in San Antonio with enterainment company Black Sky Entertainment. In 2006, DJ SlowBoogie then released his first mixtape, "I Skrew'd Up: Volume 1" and recived positive feedback. In late 2006 he released his second mixtape, "Foldin' $tack$ and Breakin' Back$", and caught the attention of the University and certain parts of the city of San Antonio. He currently working on his third mixtape and is featured on L.M.'s upcomming mixtape. With his eyes set on success things look up for this young superstar, be on the lookout for him in clubs and parties in the San Antonio and Houston areas.
