Born and raised on the mean streets and housing estates of Brixton, South-West London, Von Mozar began his literary career ten years ago. During this time he worked a nine to five job while self-studying creative writing, literature, self-help and other related material. With this new direction, Mozar escaped the life of violent crime for which he was destined and to which most of his family members and friends had fallen victim.
In April 2003 Mozar completed a screenplay and the first draft of his smash hit novel, Ignorance Kills…
Tired of waiting for publishing houses to get back to him, Mozar sold his home and formed his own publishing company, Waterbuck Publishing Limited, through which he published and distributed his novel.
To date Von Mozar has sold thousands of copies of his underground best selling novel, Ignorance Kills… He has accomplished this through the launch party, out the boot of his car, then through three high street book retailers and one retailer overseas.
In late 2005, Mozar embarked upon an 8-date college tour where he successfully sold to students who claim they’ve never read a book before for enjoyment.
Now, due to the lack of support from a certain high street book retailer to distribute Von Mozar’s Ignorance Kills nationwide - Mozar had been forced to bring his phenomenal novel direct to the public. On 3rd September 2006, Mozar ended the five-week Ignorance Kills… Shopping Market Tour. He had appeared at: Brixton Market, East St Market, Deptford Market and Catford Market, where he sold and signed copies of his book.
Mozar’s main mission, and one of the reasons why he sold his home and began his publishing company, is to get as many young people into reading as possible.
He believes this mission can be achieved through the brand new genre Street Literature, which has already made many young people for the first time read and enjoy a book.
