20 yr old Dj Junbugg, first picked up a pair of Gemini belt-drives his freshman year of highschool. After hearing scratches on some Nas songs... he knew he wanted to become a dj. Also, being a bboy at the time exposed him to many oldschool classics from Afrika Bambaataa, Herbie Hancock, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five and many more. He began doing research on dj's such as Q-bert, ISP, the X-ecutioners, 5th Platoon and the Beat Junkies to name a few. All of this knowledge only fascinated him even more in the artform and he began saving his money for a better setup. Piece by piece he was able to form a professional setup and began doing parties for friends, family and even a highschool bboy battle. Near the end of his Junior year... he was unfortunately diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This life-threatening illness was one of the hardest battles he's overcome. Now healthy, and attending St Vincent's Radiography Program, he's been quite busy. Spinning for the Sibling Rivalry Scion Shows and Hot Import Nights have been some of the highlights of 2006. Also, packing out clubs with Abstract Entertainment and various other party groups have been on the recent agenda. Dj Junbugg will be rocking a party near you soon so be on the lookout!!
