About Me

Pimp-My-Profile

The band "The Roadkills" is based in Chengdu, China and formed in 2005. As a live act The Roadkills are Anders Christensen (vocals, guitars), Huang Zhi Kun(bass) and Dj Geezer (live beat mixing and electronics) ; three people with different backgrounds -musically as well as ethnically - representing Sweden and China. On the creative side The Roadkills is essentially a one-man enterprise and the outlet for the musical torrent originating from Anders Christensen's attempts to interpret the world around him.The Roadkills as a concept is a metaphor for the people who get steamrolled by the motorway that is "progress" and commercial values.Since forming in 2005 The Roadkills have been working hard to establish themselves on the chinese rockscene by playing in venues all over China and in April 2006 they played at the Springscream festival in Taiwan. In the summer of 2006 The Roadkills did a nationwide tour of China: the “Skid Mark Tour”. Throughout 2007 The Roadkills played various events in western China, one of them being the "Electrax Party" in Chengdu.Originally a traditional 3 piece band, The Roadkills took in 2007 a step into the world of electronics; mixing more traditional live instruments with live elctronics. All the while keeping both two feet on a solid foundation of alternative rock.
