Waitingshed was formed in the suburban town of Laguna in 2003 by singer/guitarist Krypton Milabo, bassist Joshua Thurston, drummer Kelvin Milabo, and guitarist Mark Sy. The band was first called Gloomy Sunday and later, Waitingshed after Josh decided to quit in the band. Starting out as both intricate and visceral, they simplified their sound into more straightforward punk-pop, following the D.I.Y. ethics, typified by the buzzing guitars and high impassioned vocals.
