Phil Brontz

Phil Brontz - Pittsburgh Saxman

About Me

I have been playing sax around Pittsburgh for over 25 years. My forte is rock and roll tenor sax with a big sound and a lot of enthusiasm! My current bands are Bill Toms and Hard Rain, and 8th Street Rox. I have also done some recording with many other musicians, including Jill West and the Blues Attack, Erin Burkett, Norman Nardini, Joe Grushecky, Bull Moose Jackson and the Flashcats...playing on over a dozen records. Quoting local legend Norman Nardini - "Phil Brontz is a great rock and roll sax player. He has a great big sound." Quoting Bill Toms - "Phil is a dynamic performer and one of the most natural rock and roll musicians I know."
