Sax Gordon (aka Gordon Beadle) is one of the most in-demand sax players in today's "Blues" scene, both in studios and in clubs and concert halls worldwide. He's been a featured soloist on both the tours and recordings of great artists like Jimmy Witherspoon, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Roomful of Blues, Jay McShann, Duke Robillard, and Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson, as well as a solo artist, releasing 4 CDs of rockin' R&B sax and touring worldwide.He's played on over 100 CDs, LPs and 45s, recording with many of the legendary performers of classic R&B and Blues such as Pinetop Perkins, Rosco Gordon, Jimmy McGriff, Champion Jack Dupree, Billy Boy Arnold, Charles Brown, Jimmy McCracklin, and Jimmy "T99" Nelson, as well as many of the best contempoary artists on the scene - such as Kim Wilson, Jerry Portnoy, Otis Grand, and Bryan Lee.Gordon has also been called upon to perform live with many of the top artists of Blues, Soul, and Jazz, including Solomon Burke, Little Milton, Johnny Copeland, Herb Ellis, Keely Smith, Ben E. King, Martha Reeves, Reuben Wilson, Bernard Purdie, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, John Hammond, Howard Tate, Hubert Sumlin, Mighty Sam McClain, Charlie Musselwhite, Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave), Johnny Johnson, Sherman Robertson, Joe Louis Walker, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Gordon has performed in Europe, Australia, South America, Africa, Central America, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, all over North America, and toured in opening bands for such notable acts as the Rolling Stones, BB King and the Neville Brothers. He has been nominated 5 times for a W.C Handy/Blues award in the instrumentalist-horns catagory as well as being a 4-time winner of the Trophees France Blues for Instrumentiste International -Divers (miscellaneous instrument!)
