Picture this... a young,talented,motivated artist with little or no money but BIG ambitions,8 years experience in the game,with two of those years being completely wasted by other people and their promises...what do you get??One hungry a** artist still grinding trying to get a his piece of the American Dream,see FleetDub started out spitting outside on the corners of his neighborhood (La La Land) and battling at parties and cyphers throughout the Eastside of Youngstown when they caught the ear of his upstairs neighbor and he invited him to his apartment to record a track,with a regular home stereo,a karaoke mic and a pair of headphones,he recorded his first track ever over an Erykah Badu instrumental and from then on...he was hooked!!! From there Fleet went solo and kept pushing,collabing with anybody and everybody he could,battling anybody,and performing wherever he could.Throughout this time,he went through brief stints with local crews and labels to no avail,until one day he enlisted the help of his brother Tragik,friend Sum Juan and his two cousins Mousey and Weezy Wee to help promote and book shows,recruited a few other artists and got to work,eventually putting together a mixtape,F.T.F Vol 1, but after selling almost 800 copies and creating a nice buzz...everything fell apart. This time Fleet went solo for a whole year and a half before finding the right label with Big Hob and True 2 Life Entertainment,now with a few appearances on mixtapes and albums,a mixtape of his own"Unleash Tha Beast" on his own imprint Forsaken Records available January 12th and a joint venture with True 2 Life Entertainment for his debut solo album intentionally named "ON MY GRIZZY:VOL 1" slated for release late in 2008/early in 2009,boasting cameos from some of the elite artists in Youngstown,it seems like it's going to be a very good year for FleetDub,but in his own words...."It's my time to shine,get wit it or get rolled over!!"
