I am here for Friends

About Me

i am who i am, like me or not i dont give a flying fuck. I am a very generous person, as long as people don't take advantage of that generosity. I still wear my heart on my sleeve, but that doesnt give anyone the right to rip it off and throw it away. I've been burned and scorned many times by so called "friends", cursed and tormented most of my life, yet somehow I turned out alright. I've adopted ways of life to better myself, keep me grounded, and maintain my sanity. I am half-Indian and half-white, all Marisha. One day I will head over to the Motherland (aka India, that being the country my mother is from), and pay homage to my ancestry. I live for good music and good food, as those are two of my many passions in life. I'd like to one day make some films and documentaries about various subjects. I'd like to sing in a band and act on a stage or screen. I'd like to have my own cafe/bar/club, my own record label and my own production company. So enough about me, what about you?You should check out my friend's website: www.knotjustdreads.com She is the most amazing stylist out there, FYI! :)
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

Cooking and baking. Eating, Breathing, Living, Loving. Travelling. I've been to Amsterdam, West Berlin and England (couldnt enjoy Amsterdam, because I was 8 at the time). I've been to Colombia (when I was 11). I went road tripping with my two favourite allies in 2001, going to 4 finger eleven shows in 4 days in 4 cities/2 states. I was supposed to go back to England for my cousin's wedding, leaving Toronto on September 12th, 2001. We all know how that turned out. In 2002 I went to Bali, Indonesia with my mum to celebrate her 50th birthday, and us two gals had an amazing time. I recommend Bali to everyone!! :) My next big trip is to travel to Fiji, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Sumatra and Thailand and somehow make it to India as well. Sounds ambitious, but what the hell, right? Carpe Diem is my adopted motto. What else interests me? Reading, Writing, Music, Dancing... yeah, I like dancing, so sue me!! Its just as expressive as writing, and making music... Still trying to find my path in life, so I live vicariously through other people's lives... and if my own path is blocked, I've got a fall back plan: Win the Lottery. I'd like to own my own business someday, but I have too many passions that I am still trying to figure out how to incorporate them all into one conglomerate mega business... um... thats all I can think of for now... Oh and I like tattoos and piercings!! Getting pierced is fun!! I only have one tattoo thus far but I am certainly getting more! And I've got 8 piercings in total... soon to be nine.. I'll let you guess where those 8 piercings are ;)

I'd like to meet:

If they were still alive: Joe Strummer and Gandhi. enough said.

Heroes:

My personal hero is my Mom. Having to raise two young kids on her own, yet she managed to provide for us, and do without things for herself. My fictional hero is Jamie Fraser from the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Every girl needs her Jamie Fraser. Gandhi, who through active non-violence single handedly led India to independence from the British Empire. Our generation needs a hero like Gandhi, but I sometimes wonder if our society is deserving enough.
