I've been playing guitar for 23 years starting when I was 7 years old and for the last 14 years I have been playing and writing with the band Finger Eleven. I have had the fortune of travelling all over the world making music with my best friends and during that time I have developed quite a collection of ecclectic material written in my bedroom, in hotel bathrooms on tour buses and in filthy dressing rooms. There is no sense to be made from one song to the next except that they are all from the same brain on different days; a truly telling barometer of how different things can be from one minute to the next. Generally all the sounds on these recordings are made by me using guitars, a keyboard and whatever other stringed instruments I could get a noise out of. It was all recorded with multi track recording machines starting with a Boss BR-8 and eventually graduating to a home ProTools system. Occasionally one or two of my bandmates has thrown their skills into the pot and hopefully as things progress more and more of the talented musical friends I've made along the way will pop up in these experiments. With these songs I've drawn on my love for all music ranging from Progressive to Country to Classical to Disco/Dance to Rock and even some things that are without category.Part 1 - the Telephone
