His career in rhyming began in his earlier years of writing poetry that was admired by many people. In 2004 he graduated from Duncanville and began attending Prairie View A&M University where he met King Blue and George Young. Both King Blue and George gave TJ constructive criticism and helped TJ discover his own swagger. He didn’t take it seriously until he saw how much talent they had at school (mainly from one of his friends Chuck Conz & Yung Cash). He was motivated to rap and hopefully get a record deal. So no matter where he went he had his pad and ink on hand with him because he wanted to be lyrically the best when his mouth opens. By his sophomore year he had already may tremendous improvements with the help of his right hand man Yung Cash. By the end of his sophomore year, TJ made his first hit Let’s Dance which was a big hit at Prairie View, over the net, clubs, parties; pretty much everywhere. He is also a member of a group called PTC (Prime Time Click) under the label NGenius Ent. Now TJ is preparing for his 4th mixtape Mr. 972 Mixtapewhich is going to be what he says “the most versatile mixtape he’s done….†The expectations are high for this southern rapper not only from his fans but from himself….he said he looks up to Ludacris, Big Tuck, D.
