Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.

About Me

Here is one of my short films! ----- Drug Test Surprise --------------------- A victim of the corporate machine has turned to drugs, and when his company begins administering random drug tests, he embarks on a desperate quest for some clean urine. (Shot on Kodak 16mm Black and White film)..
Im probably not the best person to describe myself, my subjective opinion is amorous at best. Well...here goes! I am a 25 year old filmmaker with a B.A. in Film Media from the University of Rhode Island. I was born and raised in Westerly Rhode Island, and have since emigrated about 2 minutes south into Pawcatuck, CT. The most important thing in my life is my wife Marybeth, my rock (in a hard place) who possesses the greatest love and selfless compassion in all the world, a goddess of integrity, and my beautiful daughter Lydia, my meaning, my optimism. My third love is filmmaking. I have won awards for filmmaking therefore I can, and will often refer to myself as the award winning filmmaker Tony Nunes. Oh, did I forget to mention I am pretentious as sin. I am currently in production on my first feature, with two more films in the works. Someday I hope to be as accomplished a film director as Steven Spielberg, with Oscars and shattered records strewn about. I also have a great passion for international studies, primarily in Africa, and would love to somehow incorporate this passion into my filmmaking. I love to watch movies and good television, I am constantly watching and learning, watching and learning. Finally I feel I must say that I am a dork, a true Star Wars, Comic Book, Lost, film geek, fanatical dork...and I'm damn proud of it!! Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When he wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic that Superman stands alone. Superman did not become Superman, Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears, the glasses, the business suit, that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He's weak, he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race."
