Movies:

Napolean Dynamite, The Incredibles, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Home Alone, Princess Bride, Dumb and Dumber, The Patriot, Braveheart, Enemy at the Gates, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, The Matrix, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Memento, Last of the Mohicans, Serendipity, Shawshank Redemption, and others

Television:

is mostly a waste of time, with a few exceptions. Otherwise... go outside! Call a friend! Love someone! Think about it, if you sleep 8 hours a night, and there are 24 hours in a day...by the time you're 24, you've slept for 8 years! So... maybe it would be good to be on your deathbed and not being able to say... I watched TV for X amount of years of my life...but rather... I spent years of my life helping people and loving people instead of investing time on the tube.

Books:

The Holy Bible and some others - CS Lewis stuff, JRR Tolkien stuff...

Heroes:

The Most High, and anyone who has cared enough to be there and to speak words of encouragement into my life to help me in my walk with Him.

Overcoming temptation

I have found the only way to overcome the inevitable temptation to sin is to replace the act of giving into it with worship.  It's not as if the temptation will ever go away - as temptation itsel...

Trust

It's hard for me to trust people fully.  That's just a fact - and I know it's something that I need to let God develop in me.  It's just hard sometimes, you know?  In this life where no...

The forecast called for sunny skies today, but God had other plans.  He painted the blue canvas with beautiful white cumulus clouds - not in the Bob Ross way though.  These clouds were as r...

undeserved grace

I told a lie once, and yes it was a little lie, but nonetheless, a lie.  I went on living my life as normal as I could - for such a small lie couldn't really affect me - and in time, I forgot tha...
